On request services

A problem of units?
of terminology?
Consult the Education service.

A request deals with a single geographical point but either a single instant or a large time period.

Time Series Requests

For only one or a few time series, the annual subscription doest not correspond to your need. Contact us for a one-shot time series quotation.

NB: Please note that free time series are available here

Radiation maps

All the information relative with our map service is available here. Please contact us for a quotation, and take care of precising:
  • the country: ex: France, South Africa...
  • the solar component of irradiation: Global Horizontal Irradiation (GHI) or Direct Normal Irradiation (DNI)
  • the temporal step/aggregation you need: yearly, yearly averaged over the 7 years of data available, idem for monthly
NB: Please note that free maps are available here

TMY: Typical Meteorological Years

We have now developed an automatic procedure to provide GHI and DHI TMY compatible for a use with PVsyst. As well, we have also the possilibity to provide BNI TMY for CPV applications. We can provide these data with very short leadtime, as soon as we receive your payment. Please, contact us to get a quotation.

Application fields: P10, P50, P90, radiation certificates for banks.

The method is fully explained here.

Calibration

For a long term HelioClim3 time series calibrated with your ground station values measured on a given site, please contact us for a quotation.

NB: a description of this service will be available here. But this page needs to be improved.

Obtain hourly values from daily values

If you need to obtain hourly or sub-hourly values from daily ones, please contact us for a quotation. This service also includes the computation of components over an inclined or normal surface from daily horizontal irradiation values.

Application fields: many applications require intra-day values of irradiation values. Nevertheless, we sometimes only have daily horizontal values available, like it is the case before 2004 with the HC1 database. The algorithm of Collares-Peirera and Rabl (1979) described here for the case of HC1monthDNI gives the opportunity to obtain the hourly or sub-hourly irradiation values, but with no consideration of the historical weather of each day.
