Access means of SoDa Products
One-shot request for data
Except for HCMapMonth, any product can be ordered for one or more sites and for one or more years.
To receive a quotation, contact the sales support. Mention the product name, the number of sites and the number of years for each site. If the product numberOfSites times numberOfYears is greater than 5, then the yearly subscription is less costly.
Results are sent by e-mail.
Subscription to unlimited yearly access
Products: the yearly subscription to a product offers an unlimited access to this product during the twelve months following the opening of the account. See the list of the products.
To receive a quotation, contact the sales support. Mention product name.
Automatic access to other products: the subscription to a product offers also access to products with a larger temporal step. For instance, the subscription to HC15 also allows to access to the products HCHour, HCDay, HCWeek and HCMonth (if available). Moreover, the subscription of a product on an inclined plane or on a plane normal to sun rays enable the access to the equivalent products on the horizontal plane. For instance, if you purchase HC15Incl or HC15DNI, you will also be granted the possibility to assess to the services previously listed (if available).
Availability of the data: there is a time lag of 24 hours with respect to real-time, except if the customer pays a fee to Eumetsat (cf. Eumetsat Fees for Access to Non-Essential Meteosat Data by Commercial and Other Users).
Access machine-to-machine
The products, the automatic access to other products, the duration of the subscription, and the availability of the data are identical for the access machine-to-machine and for the yearly subscription, except this type of access is only available with the Helioclim-3 solar databasis.
Objective: automate requests. This type of access has been done for customers wanting to access to irradiance data for a fairly large number of same sites every day. This means allows the customer to provide to SoDa a list of sites (every day, every month... depending on the selected product) and to get the results for each of the sites.
Principle: this is made through the protocol HTTP and the command wget. The working principle is that the customer writes a series of commands, one per site, that will be executed by his computer. The SoDa Service recognizes this computer (only one IP allowed) and grants access to the data.
Additional cost: yes. To receive a quotation, contact the sales support.
More information: SoDa grants an access to a well-identified customer's machine. This access is protected, that means that SoDa checks the ID and the IP of the machine as well as the services subscribed by the customer. The customer creates an application on this machine that is capable of launching the command "wget".
Input data: identical to a manual access through SoDa (coordinates of a site, date ...)
Output data: a text file, in which the outputs are identical to the ones obtained through SoDa.
