The map below exhibits values averaged over the period 1985-2004, of the
- yearly irradiation -yearly sum of the radiation- received by a surface inclined in an optimal way, i.e., in order to maximise the yearly irradiation, expressed in kWh/m²;
- yearly production of electricity produced by a photovoltaic system of 1 kWp whose modules are optimally inclined and whose performance ratio is 0.75;
- optimum inclination of PV modules to maximise yearly irradiation.
