Maps of Monthly Irradiation (Direct Component) for Normal Incidence (DNI) in 2006 - France Each map below exhibits the direct component of the monthly irradiation received by a plane always facing the sun (DNI) for the year 2006, expressed in kWh/m². Below are one map per month plus one for the yearly irradiation and an animation for the year. Click on a map to enlarge it. If you use one of these maps, please, mention the following copyright: copyright Ecole des Mines de Paris / Armines 2007. The maps were constructed from observations made by meteorological satellites according to the method Heliosat-2. Original data are stored in the database HelioClim-2. Shading was overlaid on the maps to display relief.
